April 3, 2020
Dear R-B Students and Parents,
We hope you and your family are safe and healthy. As mandated by Governor Pritzker, we are not able to provide students with in-school instruction through April 30th. Instead we will continue using Remote Learning (formerly E-Learning) as our educational platform.
R-B has created a new “Remote Learning Plan” that is similar to the E-Learning plan. The Remote Learning Plan is on the R-B website. Click on “menu” then “Remote Learning Platform”. The hyperlink to plan is provided in a pdf version.
The State has also allowed school districts days which can be used for teacher planning purposes. District 157 will utilize April 17th and April 24th as planning days. On these days your student will not receive an assignment from his or her teachers. On those days your child is encouraged to catch up on any work they have not completed, visit the sites provided to you during the Act of God days, or simply use these days as a time to take a break and do something fun as a family.
As this experience is ever changing, we will do our best to keep you informed, answer your questions, and above all, provide your child(ren) with support.
Stay safe and healthy! We hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Patrick Enright, Ed.D.
